After serving Oak Harbor since 2006, I have closed my doors officially. I am still on Whidbey Island, but no longer offering photography services or learning classes on a regular basis. I am only offering Preschool Portraits for Ms. Ashley's Preschool in the spring.

Past clients may be able to purchase digital images from their past sessions if they are still available on my archive drives. Contact me for more info.

If you are a photographer inquiring about the possible purchase of my props and/or backdrops, many of my items are listed on Facebook Marketplace. Feel free to contact me for direct links or to inquire about anything you see in y portraits that you are interested in to see if they are available.

Thank you for trusting me with your family portraits since 2006. I loved working with you all.

Current Delay

I have been having a few problems with running certain software on my computer. The good news is it wasn’t my editing software & no sessions have been lost. I am always backing up work constantly!  The bad news is that when it was getting fixed, certain plug-ins for my editing software were lost. I was able to re-install everything except one very important component that is used when finishing up the editing process and preparing your proofs for release.

There are a few other things not working correctly. And to spare you from boring technical details, I will say that I am trying to get this all fixed as quickly as possible. Thank you to all of you with current active online proof galleries & orders who are patiently waiting. Every day I am making progress and able to get a few things done.

I will continue to update everyone as needed. A few orders have come in and a few more are on their way. You will receive an email and a phone call in regards to your online proof gallery, order and/or sneak peek progress.

Again, thank you for your patience.

Jaime Dillmore - YUCK! NO FUN! So sorry! Hope your up and running smoothly again soon!

Class of 2010 – UCSB (Part Two)

As mentioned in the previous post, we also did a few images of Peas with her brother & her mom (my sister). So, as promised, I wanted to show a few of those.

I am the youngest of 5 children. And these kiddos are from my sister “M” who is 4 years older than me. So, we shared a room until the day she was married. Of course, with that, we shared toys, pillows, (sometimes beds), laughter, tears, wars against the boys and so much more. We have always been close. When we were young, it was forced upon us. Now that we are older, it’s a necessity.

I am very proud of my sister. She has overcome so much in her life, from a young child to where she is now. Although we both seek each other for advice, a should to cry on or an ear to vent to, most of the time, those conversations always end up with us laughing. Either at each other or at someone else. I am so grateful when she comes to visit me and I will never stop hounding her about moving up here. One day girl – you will not be ale to resist it anymore!

I look forward to growing old and continuing to have the same types of conversations then that we have now. Thank you for always encouraging me, reminding me when to stop and pray and never failing me as a sister. I love you! Here are your crazy kids and my favorite image of the session which is the last shown. (and yes… I am in tears too)

Class of 2010 – UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbara)

You read that right! She’s a college graduate from California. I bet you are thinking, “She came all the way to Washington to get her pictures done?” Well… YES! And no, she came to visit me as well.

This beauty (known as “Peas”) is my niece. She is a smart, hard-working, motivated, very social & high-spirited woman! That’s right, she’s no longer a little girl! I am so proud of her for so many things.  She is so involved with every extra-curricular activity you could think of and has a job too! But out of all that she does and is involved with, everyone knows her for her softball! She has been playing softball all her life! So, it was no surprise when she received a scholarship to UCSB for softball! (Click HERE to read an article about her at the UCSB Athletics site)

“Peas” had many ideas for her portraits. Not only did we get some traditional images, but we incorporated softball and her devotion to the all the athletes of UCSB with tortillas! The students throw tortillas at the games! Crazy kids!

I am so proud of her and thankful that she trusted me once again for her portraits! We had so much fun throwing tortillas, softballs and even included a few with her brother and her mom (my sister). But those will not be shown for now – will show those a little later. I love you and am so proud of how much you have done with your life! You have held your head up high in the hard times and lived to the fullest through the fun times! Can’t wait to see what you do in grad school and beyond. (For the WA readers, she’s applying to USC & UW -let’s pray she gets in to UW)

Welcome Baby “B” – First session of 2010!

Once again, another maternity session didn’t take place because baby couldn’t wait to see mommy face to face! When I called to remind mom about her appointment, I was told that she wouldn’t make since she was already in the hospital. I couldn’t help but chuckle since the same thing happened with the last maternity session. Plus, to make it even funnier, both moms of Baby “B” & Baby “H” are friends and both went into labor early.

Baby “B”  didn’t quite care for being naked, but once he was snuggled up in mom or grandma’s arms, it was clear he felt safe & secure and then would go right to sleep. Towards the end he was so tired that we were able to get a few of him all by himself. I must admit, although his individual images are adorable, my favorites were with all 3 (grandma, mom & baby) together. You could feel the pride & joy in mom & grandma and when I first opened up these proofs, I was so touched by it, that I teared up. Thank you for choosing me to share in that joy!
