    After serving Oak Harbor since 2006, I have closed my doors officially. I am still on Whidbey Island, but no longer offering photography services or learning classes on a regular basis. I am only offering Preschool Portraits for Ms. Ashley's Preschool in the spring.

    Past clients may be able to purchase digital images from their past sessions if they are still available on my archive drives. Contact me for more info.

    If you are a photographer inquiring about the possible purchase of my props and/or backdrops, many of my items are listed on Facebook Marketplace. Feel free to contact me for direct links or to inquire about anything you see in y portraits that you are interested in to see if they are available.

A Sweet 2 Month Old

This sweetheart came in for a session meant to be just for her. But as the session progressed, it became clear that she really preferred the security of mommy and daddy’s arms. So, as we went along, I was happy to have both mom and dad be apart of the session not just to hold her, but to snuggle with her for some sweet moments caught with the camera.

I am also testing out 1 of 2  new features for sneak peeks. This is a lightbox gallery. You will see smaller images (thumbs) underneath the main image. Click on the main image or the thumbs. A pop-up window will appear showing you the images individually. Click on the image to go to the next image and then click CLOSE when you are done. Tell me what you think of this new feature!

Calendar (Availability) Dates

Please check the CALENDAR for current availability and upcoming “closed” dates. I may be able to take in some sessions on “closed” dates depending on the type of session being requested, but I can not guarantee that I will be able to accommodate all requests.

Please note that I will be out of the state in July -I will be attending a family reunion in California. I will be gone for about 3 weeks.

For clients in my area: Like last year, I will try to get all proofs and orders out before I leave. If you would like to ensure that your session prints will be available before I leave, please schedule your appointment to be held on or before June 11th. When I return, I will start working on or after August 9th. You may schedule your session for August or September now if you would like. (Remember, those are the busiest months because they are the recommended months for Holiday family portraits)

For friends/family in Southern California area: I will be able to do a few sessions while visiting. All sessions will be on-location using natural light only. I will not be bringing studio equipment or props, but will utilize all that is available to me while in the area. Proofs may not be available until I return to Washington. It’s Just For A While…

As mentioned before, this is a common occurrence in our area. Only difference is that this “daddy” is in the Army (instead of the Navy). It’s always tough to do these particular types of sessions since although it’s never spoken, it’s well known that the “what if’s” are always going through Mom’s head. I know, because I too am the wife to an active military man who will be deploying soon as well.

Both older “K” and her little brother “P” did wonderful throughout the session. It was especially clear how much they love their daddy when it came time for their individual time with him. Mom & Dad had bought both kids their own special stuffed animal to hold on to while dad was away. A little something to give them comfort while daddy is away. “K” hugged her bear with such tenderness & you can really tell that she knows what it’s for. Don’t worry “K”, it’s just for a while, he’ll be home soon.

Sweet 16!

“A” just turn 16 and mom wanted a session all by herself. She is not as shy as she used to be, which allowed us to play with different poses. It was quite fast since I didn’t have to bribe her with candy! Her mom was unable to come along and so she (mom) has no idea what to expect.

“A” is not a only a familiar face in my portfolio, but she’s also someone my kids love! Why? She’s our babysitter. I’ve been taking portraits of her and her family (including extended) since I began my business. She has also helped out with a few sessions, mostly limited edition promos and on-location sessions.

Happy 16th Birthday! Thanks for always watching our crazy kids for us! We really appreciate you!
