  • We are Permanently Closed

After serving Oak Harbor since 2006, I have closed my doors officially. I am still on Whidbey Island, but no longer offering photography services or learning classes on a regular basis. I am only offering Preschool Portraits for Ms. Ashley's Preschool in the spring.

Past clients may be able to purchase digital images from their past sessions if they are still available on my archive drives. Contact me for more info.

If you are a photographer inquiring about the possible purchase of my props and/or backdrops, many of my items are listed on Facebook Marketplace. Feel free to contact me for direct links or to inquire about anything you see in y portraits that you are interested in to see if they are available.

Thank you for trusting me with your family portraits since 2006. I loved working with you all.

    Renee

Sweet Family of Six

This session went by fast! The youngest little guy lost interest after the first few images of the entire family. After that, we had to bring out the tricks and c-a-n-d-y. But even then, he was holding out. But towards the end, after giving him a break and bringing out a few chairs, he eventually gave us a few smiles! So, I was all wrapped up in getting the images we needed and didn’t realize how fast the time flew past us! And in the end, we were all happy! Especially little “P”, who happily strutted out with his lollipop. I then headed over to Dairy Queen for a strawberry malt! Thanks for the fun! Don’t worry, next time he’ll remember me and my “lollipops” and it will go by much easier!

Ellen Dykstra - Great job on the family portrait- love your lighting and posing!

Meredith Rowlen - BEAUTIFUL IMAGES!!! What an amazing family portrait.

willowdawn - Coupeville Senior Photographer - What a great looking family! And hats off to you Renee for capturing the all looking and MOSTLY smiling… what can you do, sometimes we just don’t want our pictures taken.

Krysia - What a beautiful family! You captured them perfectly! LOVE the family portrait of them together!

Eileen - Angie,
You all look great! Your little girl is the poser. Thanks for sharing.
Eileen S.

Angie - thanks for the sneek peek!!! LOVE the family picture~~~ and so glad you managed to get us all looking at the camera and nobody crying!!!

New Accordion Albums

You’ve seen it in the product guide marked: “COMING SOON!” and now they are here! YAY!

Accordion albums are 3×3 size & display up to 12 images of your choice. Choose a storybook template with a custom cover or have them displayed at full size with or without a simple border. There are many options! And as always you approve the final look with a sample proof.

A magnetic enclosure is included to keep them closed when not being viewed which can also be used to stick to your refrigerator! These are great for a desktop (work or home), on a shelf or in mom’s purse! Perfect little gifts for any occasion!

A minimum purchase of 3 identical books is required. Prices start at $85 for a set of 3. The product guide has been updated with the new accordion album information.

Shallyse Gastelum {Raleigh - Durham Photographer} - I LOVE the little accordion albums. They make the perfect little brag book – and I LOVE that idea about sticking them on the refrigerator!

Operation: Love ReUnited

Many of you may have seen my posts on Facebook & Twitter or maybe you noticed the new banner (like the one above) on the bottom of this blog for “Op:Love”.

“What is ‘Op:Love’?” you ask.

Op:Love (Operation: Love ReUnited) is a federal non-profit organization of professional photographers that have joined together to offer our military men and women FREE special sessions with their families. These patriotic sessions are designed to boost the morale of our service men and women in times of deployement. Military families are eligible for two sessions per year per deployment.

If your loved one is about to be deployed or is currently deployed, as an OpLove photographer, I will be able to offer you at no cost:

  • A patriotic session with you and your family (pre deployment) OR an “already gone” session of your family to send to your service member (I am unable to offer Homecoming Sessions at this time)
  • A 4×6 album directly sent to your deployed service member
  • 10% off additional prints/products from your Op:Love session
  • Plus the regular services/amenities as my regular sessions: such as private online gallery, customizations, etc.

I am still working on getting this fitted into my schedule as well as the details of how it works and what is required. Because of this, I am not able to take in any Op:Love sessions at this time. I know there will be a high demand in our area for this service, unfortunately I will be very limited as to how many sessions I may be able to offer per month. (Please remember, that my schedule is already always booked about 2 months ahead of time)

If you are a professional photographer, and would like to join Op:Love, please click HERE. Hopefully, other local photographers will join Op:Love also and we will be able to serve more of the families that sacrifice so much for all of us!

Sarah M - Renee, Thank you for wanting to make yourself available for such a needed cause! What a true blessing you are to our community! Its a shame Dave the boys and I will be leaving in July! Ill miss having such and amazing experience for family pics! God Bless and good luck!

Mari Perez - What a beautiful gift you are giving to those families…who deserve it the most. Thank you to all those who serve our country.

REMINDER: CLOSED THIS WEEKEND

Just a quick reminder that RGP will be closed from April 22 – 25th to take part in Oak Harbor’s annual Holland’s Happening celebration!

This is an event my husband & I look forward to every year to spend with each other & our kids. So, there will be no portrait sessions & no portrait pick ups. All phone calls/emails will be answered when we reopen on Monday, April 26th.

We hope to see you at the parade and/or carnival. I will be strutting my little pocket-sized point & shoot camera & a funnel cake! Don’t be shy, say “HI!” if you see me! Have a great weekend everyone!

Meet Newborn Baby “B”

Baby “B” came in just under 2 weeks old. Her mommy is the beauty from my recent maternity session.  And like the previous newborn, she stayed WIDE AWAKE through the entire session! I couldn’t believe it. And she was good, she cried a little now and then, but overall, she was just happy to be left alone so she could look around. She even gave me a giggle or two! Don’t be fooled, she is not sleeping in that last image, it was caught in between a long blink of hers.

Darlene Cates - Friendswood Photographer - She is such a doll! Love that last shot – the pp is lovely.

Captures by Erin - Fort Worth Newborn Photographer - Oh my goodness – how sweet is she!

Lisa Adams - Sweet little girl!! Beautiful!

Jaime - Dillmore Portraits - What a cutie! I love squishy babies. She is a beautiful baby girl!

Ellen Dykstra - What an adorable, alert baby! Love the combination of your textures and her beautiful skin!

Joy - What a sweet little baby! Love the finger in the mouth on the last image.
