We held our first Christmas Mini Sessions this year with great success! Our simple set mixed with some sugar cookies and marshmallows was a hit with everyone! The kids had fun, the parents had fun and I had fun! I was quite sore and pretty tired once we were all done, but I definitely am thinking ahead to next year’s set as well as a few mini sessions through out the year! Thank you to all the families that came out for this. And thank you for your patience as I process these images. I have over 200 proofs to add into a gallery. I will be getting those up by Sunday night. You will receive an email when they are ready to view and order.
Extra special thanks to my kids – who were my “test subjects” last year for this set. You are the marshmallows in my hot chocolate and sugar in my cookies! I love you!
Last year, we only chased one little girl (big sister “A”) around since little “H” was only a few months old. But this year, they were both on the go! They would maybe sit together for a few seconds, which every parent knows is absolutely normal. So we did what anyone would do – we waited. We watched, we played, sang songs and read a book. Of course, they would do all this sitting down right next to me instead of where we would have liked them to be. But I enjoyed the bonding, the cute little smirks and curious smiles as the “itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout”. These girls are always a joy and I would not change anything about their session! I heard they will be moving soon – time for new orders for daddy. So, I will miss them, their gorgeous hair and they adorable personalities. Thank you so much for letting me watch your family grow these last 2 years, it’s been a fun adventure!

They are adorable.
We’ve known this family for a little over 10 years. And in the last 5 years, we’ve become very close. Although they are not here, there are more siblings in this family. And not only are we all the best of friends, but so are our kids. We’ve laughed and cried together. We’ve ran away and left “A” (the sweet young lady on the right in the first image) to watch our children many times – my kids love her and so do we! Pretty much, they are part of our family. And every time they call to schedule their family session, I know we are going to have fun. And as always, the brought on the silliness, the odd gestures, funny comments and conversations! All of them, including mom and dad, are just BIG KIDS! It was hard to choose what to show tonight. I had so many laughs while going through these and was torn between so many fun ones. But I narrowed it down to my top 5 favorites, leaving some extra special ones and extra funny ones for the family to enjoy themselves. I’m thinking I might just have to create a special “OUTTAKES” post at the end of the year featuring all the fun moments I’ve caught this year.

This was a fast session. The kids were great, the parents were great… oh it was perfect. I think they were in and out in about 35 minutes. And we were able to capture such a wonderful variety of personalities! Thank you so much for your patience with trying to get our schedules coordinated. I truly enjoyed working with you all!
