All About Mommy

Originally, this session was going to be a mom & daughter session. But due to time differences and traveling from out of state, her little one year old was fast asleep. We didn’t want to wake her and risk he being unhappy, so we just let her sleep. (But that was ok, because they were back the next day for a session with the rest of the family)

So, we focussed on this gorgeous young mommy instead. We played with different clothes, poses, props and backdrops. As most of you know, I work mainly with children, but it’s so much fun to play with older “kids” too! Thank you “B” for the mommy/senior session! And thank you for your patience as I continue to catch up.

8 Month Old Baby “C”

This session was full of variety! New little sets/props and a little guy who loved every moment of his session! Ok, so he had a few moments where he was unsure of what we were doing. But overall – he did great! Extra thanks to mom and dad for letting me try some new things! Once again, I had so much fun and loved so many images, that it was tough to pick just 2-3 images to show! But that is a wonderful problem for me! Makes me even more thankful for the job I have and the families I meet and work with!

M Perez - What a gorgeous baby. He has a great smile. My fav is actually the one with the little frown (2nd to last) and him smiling close up (2nd from top). Great job Renee.

Sweet Little “L”

Little L’s daddy has been trying to get her in here since last fall. My schedule was too full and then when we set a date, his deployments became a factor. And we almost had to reschedule this session, but luckily, dad’s deployment got pushed back and we were on!

This session was so fast! Little L was perfect! She is 4 years old and was a great listener. Her and I talked about her gorgeous dress, her pretty hair and her blue nails as we went along. The session only last about 30 minutes. Yep! You read write, she was so good and so perfect, that we got everything we need so quickly. I can’t wait to work with her again! Thank you for a wonderful session!

Sooooo Behind…

I disappeared for about a week and a half. I didn’t answer my phone, respond to emails, work on proofs… nothing. What happened? I got sick! Real sick. Not sure what I had, but my doctor said it started as a cold, progressed to the flu and then made a mess of my stomach while it was there. After 3 days of fatigue, fevers and more, I sent myself to urgent care where I was given an IV and ordered to rest. So, I did. For 3 whole days, I didn’t do anything but sleep. I am still not at 100% today, but I feel much better than I did 5 days ago.

All that to say, that I am way behind on proof editing, almost 2 weeks behind. Thank you to all of you for the well-wishes on Facebook. I never thought it would have lasted that long. But I am getting back into the groove and working on this little one’s images brought joy to my heart today.

Without further ado, here’s Ms. T. We all know her pretty well. She came in ready to show off her cute curly hair and adorable smile! See you again soon! Can’t believe you are going to be 1 year old the next time you come in!

…And Baby Makes Three!

Mom-to-be called me while she was still in Florida a few months ago to schedule her pregnancy session. They arrived in Oak Harbor about 2 weeks before their session date. Just in time to experience snow, sun, wind and rain! Welcome to Oak Harbor! You experienced all our seasons within 2 weeks. 😀

This session was wonderful! They came prepared with samples & ideas while staying open to let me get in a few that I had planned for them as well. It was such a joy to work with them! I had SO MANY favorites from this session that once again, I couldn’t just show 3 or 4 for this sneak peek! This is the first time that I have showed 10! Oh my! And in all honesty, there are so many more that I love!

Congratulations again! And thank you for letting me capture this wonderful, life changing moment with you!
