  • We are Permanently Closed

After serving Oak Harbor since 2006, I have closed my doors officially. I am still on Whidbey Island, but no longer offering photography services or learning classes on a regular basis. I am only offering Preschool Portraits for Ms. Ashley's Preschool in the spring.

Past clients may be able to purchase digital images from their past sessions if they are still available on my archive drives. Contact me for more info.

If you are a photographer inquiring about the possible purchase of my props and/or backdrops, many of my items are listed on Facebook Marketplace. Feel free to contact me for direct links or to inquire about anything you see in y portraits that you are interested in to see if they are available.

Thank you for trusting me with your family portraits since 2006. I loved working with you all.

    Renee

‘Tis the season for more babies…

goo goo ga ga ga… ga ga ga ga….

Pregnancy sessions have become a recent favorite of mine. I truly love capturing the beautiful bodies of these mamas! And mama K is a returning mama! This time though, she’s having a boy! So excited to switch from pink to blue this time around! We kept this session simple yet fun, trying not to overwhelm the girls while still capturing some fun & sweet moments!

Thanks once again for letting me be a part of your sweet, growing family! And THANK YOU mama for letting me try out some of my newest gowns to show off your gorgeous body and belly! See you soon with your little guy!

Getting Ready to Depart

The “T” family has been living here on the island for about 3 years I believe. They are originally from Canada and have been stationed her at NAS Whidbey. But, in the next few months, they are packing up and getting ready to head back home. So, they are busy spending time at favorite spots and enjoying every last minute they have here.

As most of us know, Deception Pass Bridge is a favorite among tourists (and locals :)) The bridge gets so many visitors whether rain, wind, snow and especially sunshine! So, they wanted to capture their family with the bridge one last time. Although it was a little chilly, the kids didn’t mind as we let them run, throw rocks into the water and just plain enjoy themselves! And they made sure to include their little sister who will be arriving in August! They are so excited about her and can’t wait! They will be great big brothers to snuggle with and keep her safe as she gets older!

Thank you for letting me a part of capturing your family through the years! Congrats on little “K”! Can’t wait to see pictures of her!

Welcome Baby “M”

Isn’t he just gorgeous?  Baby “M” came in at 11 days old and was so very tiny! He was a great little sleeper. He did open his eyes for a minute or two, but then would go right back to sleep. Such a sweetheart! Congrats again mommy and daddy!

Family Visit

If you have seen my previous sneak peek post, then there is a familiar face in these photos. This time though, everyone was here and little “M” was wide awake. She only required a break one time for a drink and then she was back to smiles and giggles!

Thanks for the great session C Family! 🙂

LOCAL EVENT: Butterfly Raising & Release

Every year my kids (I have 3 kids, ages 9yrs, 5 yrs, & 3yrs) love to watch caterpillars transform into butterflies. It’s about a 3-4  week process and when they are ready, we then release them into our garden or a park. We look forward to doing this every year!

A few years ago, we invited friends to join us. Each family received their own butterfly garden/pavilion & caterpillars. We bought them all at the same time (one big order by me) so that they would all develop and be ready to release at the same time.

Each family took their caterpillars home to watch the daily transformation and then we met for the release once all the butterflies were ready. We drew quite a crowd at the park as we released around 50 butterflies at City Beach. The kids loved that some of the butterflies stuck around for the kids to hold them. Everyone had their cameras out – it was such a fun event for all of us!

My kids & I would love for you to join us in our annual butterfly release which starts in May.

Currently, the planning/organization of this event is on Facebook, and is the main location for RSVP’ing plus questions and answers. (this event is not a part of my business)

We have over 50 families participating so far, which means at least 250 butterflies will be released in June! I am so excited about the participation of the community and can’t wait to see the excitement on all the kids faces!

If you would like to join us, please go to the Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=207587729258205 to read more details about costs, dates, how to RSVP and more. Hope to see you there!

M Perez - Sounds like so much fun…wish I could particpate. Make sure to post lots of pictures.
