  • We are Permanently Closed

After serving Oak Harbor since 2006, I have closed my doors officially. I am still on Whidbey Island, but no longer offering photography services or learning classes on a regular basis. I am only offering Preschool Portraits for Ms. Ashley's Preschool in the spring.

Past clients may be able to purchase digital images from their past sessions if they are still available on my archive drives. Contact me for more info.

If you are a photographer inquiring about the possible purchase of my props and/or backdrops, many of my items are listed on Facebook Marketplace. Feel free to contact me for direct links or to inquire about anything you see in y portraits that you are interested in to see if they are available.

Thank you for trusting me with your family portraits since 2006. I loved working with you all.

The fireworks show will start at 10pm. (For those of you not in our area, the sun doesn’t go down until that time.) Be sure to get there early for good parking and front row seats at the lagoon. You may want to bring a blanket or two. We will be on the waterfront and it gets a little chilly. Let’s all hope for no wind that night. 🙂

Happy 4th of July everyone!

THANK YOU to all the men & women who continually sacrifice their lives so that we can celebrate the freedom we love. We love and miss all of you who are currently not here at home to celebrate with us. You are in our hearts, thoughts & prayers.

Erica Porter - We’re hoping for no wind, too! Last year was CRAZY cold, hoping for a bit warmer this year!

Never too late to Celebrate!

And it’s never too late for senior portraits. Originally, the plan was for traditional head & shoulder images for this mini session. But I encourage all my clients to always have a little fun and bring something to show off their personality. And she brought her cello! Sad to say, I never got hear her play. But it’s okay. She was already nervous enough and I didn’t want to get her even more nervous by putting her on the spot. So, I helped her loosen up by telling jokes and simply acting goofy. And by the 2nd half, she was enjoying herself. I had a great time getting out her “sassiness”. Congratulations again- thanks for the fun and good luck along your new adventure!

Hey There Beautiful!

Mom called hoping I could squeeze her into my schedule. And although I was already overbooked, I love 1st birthday sessions, so I just couldn’t say no. And I was glad I didn’t. Isn’t she just as cute as can be! She came through my door and those eyes, those perfect little lips – just left me breathless! When I began to work on these, I posted the very first image I had took from her session on my facebook page. It brightened up my night as I began to work!

At the beginning of the session, Mom assured me that she would most likely just sit in one spot and not move. And she did, she was quite shy and unsure of what to think while she had the spotlight on her. But soon, she was smiling and laughing. Peek-a-boo was her game of choice. Then to mom’s surprise, she was up and away! Fast as lightening! So much for sitting in one spot. 🙂 She was pretty comfy on my big bean bag as mom threw her into the air and then let her fall on it. She had a blast. Cake rolled in and she was quite the lady. Didn’t want to make a mess and preferred to be tidy and clean. She didn’t eat much, but she did enjoy the frosting while giving us the most adorable expressions! She was so sweet! Can’t wait to work with her again!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

We welcomed back sweet little “I” to celebrate her 3rd birthday. She was a little shy & quiet but full of smiles. For as long as I’ve known her, she’s always been referred to as a little “monkey”. So, her shirt proudly exclaimed, “Mommy’s little monkey”. And she was accompanied by her monkey as well. She has brought it with her every time, including her 1st halloween pictures (she’s the first image HERE), in which she was a monkey herself. For her last set, she wore a pretty dress that daddy picked up while in Hawaii. She was quite comfy by then and was letting her 3 year old energetic spirit shine through. In other words, it was time for chasing and trying to keep her sitting in one spot long enough to catch her smiles. We did it though – good teamwork with mom & dad!  Happy 3rd Birthday! See you again soon!
