Fresh Focus [Parent Workshop] – May 24 & 25

Many parents purchase a DSLR camera in hopes of not missing a moment of their children’s lives, but are not totally satisfied with the images when they appear on their computer screen. They just want their images to be better.

Fresh Focus is an in-person workshop that teaches parents how to take better pictures of their kids. It focuses on concepts you can easily put into practice, just by understanding lighting, composition, perspective and age appropriate techniques. Participants will walk away with a 70 page presentation manual that includes both in depth details and quick tips for common situations which will help them improve their photos immediately… just by taking the time to assess light, change up their angle, and remember a few quick tips.

Workshop Fee: $75.00 per person
Workshop Duration: 3 hours
Workshop Dates:
- MAY 24 at 5:30pm
- May 25th at 10:30am
Last Day To Sign Up: May 15th, 2013

Workshop will be held at the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce building in Oak Harbor. This is a small classroom setting, TEN seats available per workshop date.

Also includes outdoor shooting for practice and questions (immediately following the class – optional – weather permitting) plus entrance into a private Facebook group so that you may post images, get critique and ask more questions to help you continue to learn.

Beautiful First Time Mama

This adorable couple found me through another couple who will be coming in this weekend for their own pregnancy portraits. Discussing each other pregnancies, portraits came up and I was recommended. So, they called me up and set them up with my pregnancy and newborn plan. Their story is so cute – they were high school sweethearts. They are expecting their first baby (boy) this week. Mama brought a few sentimental items including the onesie shown in the last image. It was picked out years ago and the tag was just taken on right before our session. Baby “H”‘s 1st Birthday

Baby “H” was bright eyed and full of smiles for this session just like his previous sessions. His big sister also came along and so we took a few images of them together also. You can view one of my favorites of them together, HERE on my Facebook page.

Mom always chooses the best colors for her little ones. I love her style and am always eager to see what she has in store! She had placed her color scheme around his room decor. She even brought in a bunting banner she made herself that was part of his room. We used those during his cake portion of the session! Happy Birthday “H”! Feels like I just did your newborn session last month. Boy oh boy… time flies!
