  • We are Permanently Closed

After serving Oak Harbor since 2006, I have closed my doors officially. I am still on Whidbey Island, but no longer offering photography services or learning classes on a regular basis. I am only offering Preschool Portraits for Ms. Ashley's Preschool in the spring.

Past clients may be able to purchase digital images from their past sessions if they are still available on my archive drives. Contact me for more info.

If you are a photographer inquiring about the possible purchase of my props and/or backdrops, many of my items are listed on Facebook Marketplace. Feel free to contact me for direct links or to inquire about anything you see in y portraits that you are interested in to see if they are available.

Thank you for trusting me with your family portraits since 2006. I loved working with you all.

    Renee

Starting a Photography Business

A fellow friend (photographer) shared a great blog post with me. Like her, I get many calls/emails with questions about starting a business and/or help with photography in general. And like her, being as busy as I am, all my spare time goes to my family right now. It’s so difficult to explain this without others feeling as if I am offended or threatened or vice-versa. In fact, I am quite surprised and flattered, but I just can’t take on anything extra right now.

As for an assistant, I honestly have no need for one. And when I do, my husband is the one I turn to. Maybe once he’s back on sea duty and off on deployment, I might look for someone to help out.

So, if you’d like more info on starting a photography business or maybe just want to up your skills, she’s got some great information on her blog. Here is the link: http://shannonholden.com/blog/?page_id=1323.

“Little Leapers”

Pun intended. If you’ve been to Papa Murphy’s lately, then you’ve probably seen the Little Leaps Baby & Toddler Gym right across the way. And the proud owners are, of course, this sweet family. The little guys were pretty shy as a group but they did beautifully on their own. I can’t wait to work with them again!

Lori Grablick - Renee:
The pics are beautiful – I may be ordering some from you, depending on what Mike and Jess decide to give as presents. I look forward to meeting you when I get to WA in Feb.

Blessed with Two

These little guys were about 4 weeks old but still oh-so tiny. They were so different, both in looks and personality. I can’t wait to see them as they get older! Although they shared space in the womb, they wanted their own space during this session. But at the end, when we tired them out, they finally gave in and laid next to each other without pushing the other away. Here’s just one for now…
