Although I hardly had a voice at the time, and was in the beginnings of bronchitis, this session was smooth and easy. Thank you so much for your patience during the session and for the extra week of rest I needed to take.
As you all know, we were competing with other studios in the Seattle region for a spot in the National Finals of the National Charity Model Search. Your votes kept Karis on top and she is in the National Finals! Now it’s up to professional judges to make their decision out of the 50 finalists!
Along with her chance to win the National Prize, Karis also won the local studio prize basket, which includes a free full session for herself, one for a friend and other various gift certificates from local merchants.

My scheduling is filling up at least 2 months in advance – especially Saturdays. So, if you want a session in July, you need to call now.
Holiday Portraits
What? Too early? WRONG! Schedule early!
Scheduling for holiday sessions begins in September and ends the first week of November. Do not wait too long to schedule your portrait session, you can do it now.
All sessions are on a first come- first serve basis. If you have called about a date, but your deposit has not been received – that date remains open for anyone else.
Fees/Prices
Some fees/prices will be increasing on July 1st, 2009 and will affect all portraits sessions & print orders that are booked/created on or after July 1st, 2009.
Why does it cost $1 to vote?
This is a National Charity Model Search. All proceeds go to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (www.nilmdts.org).
How many times can I vote?
As many time as you want. Last day to vote is April 2nd (ends at midnight, EST)
How can we get more votes for our child/favorite model?
Tell everyone you know! Post the voting link in every email, on myspace, facebook or any other personal site you may have. Just keep spreading the word!
How can I find out how many votes my child/favorite model has?
I inquired about this to the model search organizers and they said there is no way of knowing individual counts. It’s just too much information for so many kids to keep up with through the website. (It would require a lot of updating – and that’s a lot of work)
Are your kids in the contest?
No, my children are not eligible.
Who did you (Renee) vote for?
I haven’t voted, but if I do, it will mostly like be the same amount for each of my models.
I don’t know any of your models personally, who should I vote for?
Two answers to this:
- Vote for your favorite!
- Vote for the top leaders to give them an extra boost above the other studio’s competition.
Remember, only the top -Rank #1- for our region (Seattle) will go into the National Finals and compete for the grand prize (worth over $10,000). So, keep voting to keep your child/favorite model on the top!

Although my voice sounded aweful that Saturday, I didn’t want to reschedule. I am so glad I didn’t. I had so much fun and am so thankful for everyone’s participation. The voting has raised over $125,000 so far for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.
