I believe all birthday sessions should include cake and balloons. That’s why I decided to change my birthday session fees and not just make those items available for 1st birthdays, but for all birthdays! Of course, it’s still optional to bring in a cake. Most clients bring in a small cupcake or other treat for kids that are older than 1 year old. For this session, we skipped the treats and just enjoyed balloons. J did great! He was not nervous or against the whole process. My son is eight also and usually wants nothing to do with sitting and smiling. He would rather run outside and ditch me for swings. So, working with this sweet guy was a treat. 🙂
