I had made some changes to my business offerings a few months ago. Added more digital sessions, simplified session options and so on. I am really happy with how everything is working. This little guy’s mommy took advantage of some of these new session options and scheduled two separate sessions. The first, shown here is part one: the cake smash.
Because this session is only for cake smashing, I had more time to get creative with a colorful set. I create banners, buy balloons and everything else to design a set that goes with your birthday theme. This time, mom had also contributed with two birthday banners of her own. The Happy 1st Birthday banner is from The Party Paper Fairy and the fabric banner with Mickey and the number 1 is from Pippa Stitch Shop. The cake she brought it was perfect too. I provide a list of local bakers for clients to check out for their cake needs. It just so happened that mom unknowingly chose one that was on my list. Big shout out to Ashley’s Sweet Treats here in Oak Harbor, WA for the great cake! With all that, I just coordinated my banners & other props with those and this is what we got. I LOVE IT!
Little B was shy at first, which is pretty normal. He was checking out the place, checking out all the colors and of course, watching me. We kept him busy with hats, balloons and confetti. He went from unsure to just being himself, walking and being silly. He was not too sure about the cake. At first, he looked like he was afraid of it. But as mom dug in a little to help him get to the cake, he began to enjoy it. Probably enjoyed poking at it more than anything, but he did eat some. Altogether, it was a success! Yay!
