Most of the lavender had been harvested at the Lavender Wind Farm in Coupeville since it’s close to the end of the season, but there were a still a few rows available for my last two sessions there. This lovely family requested to have more “green” than purple. And so we headed to the harvested area where there were a few stems of purple on each bushel. Just enough to give a little bit of purple, but not too much.
I have been photographing this family annually for years. Since the first pregnancy, each newborn and first birthday. They are one of my favorite families that I look forward to seeing every year. Well, last year was skipped. We all just got too busy and never got to get it done. But not this year! Mom & dad took advantage of the warm weather and the beautiful fields. As always, the kids were great. As they get older, each personality comes out more and more. Lots of silly faces along with smiles. And of course, they knew when they were done. It was a lot of fun though!
